This is a class Wiki, for all of us to use and share where we create a space for sharing ideas; you can collaborate on assignments, edit each other's work, or allow me to edit your work. This is also a good place to keep a journal of reflections on your learning.
Wikis are fantastic tools to allow for collaborative writing. Every visitor to a wiki can edit any page on the wiki. For now, I would like you to only to edit your own page and to leave (post) comments on class members' pages, please. However, I have added another page called Students' Favourite Internet Sites. Please feel free to add your own sites and write what you think about them.
Language Support:
Each week, the aim is to look at one area to re-inforce English language skills. We will keep exploring the BBC World Service , Learning English site. Please report back on what you have found that worked or didn't work for you. Don't forget that the site "Flat Mates" has a lot of dialogue which you can download to your ipods or MP3 players to listen to in your own time. This site also has extra language learning attached to each episode for new grammar, vocabularly etc.
The English English Learning and Support link in the sidebar has many links for you to explore in your own time. Please don't forget to check it regularly.
Meanwhile, here's a great vocabularly site to try. Learning English as a second or foreign language (ESL / EFL) takes time, and building your vocabulary is an important key to improving your communication skills. http://www.esl-lab.com/vocab/index.htm
